Both Co2 laser marker and fiber laser marker are equipped with galvo scanning head and marks at very fast speed and high precision. Co2 laser cutter cuts material while laser marker marks on the surface.
Before choose co2 laser marker or fiber laser marker, you need to know the differences:
1. Co2 laser marker marks on nonmetal materials like acrylic,plastic,PVC,wood,MDF,double color board and so on.
2. Fiber laser marker marks on both metal and nonmetal materials like steel,aluminum,copper,PVC,double color board. But it is not suitable for marking on acrylic without color and wood.
3. Co2 laser marker has 2 types of laser sources:co2 glass laser tube and co2 rf metal laser tubes. Glass laser tube is consumable part, you need to change new one after 2-3 years.While RF metal laser tube can last longer time. Fiber laser marker has fiber laser source, with 100000 hours working time,can work as long as the machine.
In a word, if you want to mark on wood and acrylic with no color, co2 laser marker suits you. If you need to mark on other materials, fiber laser marker suits you.
