How To control The Speed Of Fast Speed Fiber Laser Cutter And Cut Perfect Work piece?

Fiber laser cutter is widely used for cutting many metal materials because of the fast cutting speed and high precision.

Fast cutting speed is a major advantage of fiber laser cutter, and it is also an important reason why many sheet metal processing users choose fiber laser cutting machine, but the faster the better. Only by controlling the best cutting speed can the cutting surface be smooth without slag.

The laser power will affect the cutting speed of the laser equipment, and the cutting speed of the laser equipment will affect the cutting quality of the plate. Under the condition of certain laser power, there is the best cutting speed range. Too fast or too slow will affect the surface flatness of cutting materials.

If the speed too fast, what will happen?

1. The contact time between laser beam and material is short, which may cause inability to cut and sparks splashing.

2. Some areas can be cut off, but some areas cannot be cut off.

3. The whole cutting section is layered, and the cutting section presents oblique lines (stainless steel).

4. The lower part is subject to melting stains, which seriously makes it impossible to cut off the plate in time (carbon steel).

If the speed too slow, what will happen?

1. The interaction time between material and laser increases, resulting in the over melting of cutting plate and rough cutting section.

2. The cutting seam will be widened accordingly, resulting in over burning at small rounded corners or sharp corners, and the ideal cutting effect will not be obtained.

3. Low cutting efficiency, affecting production capacity.

How to check you are getting a proper cutting speed or not?

1. Reasonable cutting speed: the cutting spark diffuses from top to bottom, the cutting surface is stable, and there is no slag at the lower part;

2. The cutting speed is too fast: the cutting spark is inclined;

3. The cutting speed is too slow: the cutting sparks are not diffused and few, and agglomerate together.

If use a proper cutting speed, you can get a perfect work piece by fiber laser cutter.
